We reveal the fascinating story of TomKings and their eternal love for French Bulldogs.
How did it all start at TomKings?
We can go back to as early as the childhood of Tomi, the co-founder of TomKings. He has loved animals from an early age. When he was five, he got a dog as a present from his father. The dog had puppies and unfortunately, she died during the delivery. Tomi cared so much for the puppies, that he took them every day to a nearby farm where a cat had a new litter and could breastfeed the little dogs too. Tomi has always dreamt of a big farm outside the village where he can be surrounded by animals.
The birth of TomKings Puppies
Tomi and his brother, Geri went into professional freestyle wrestling, where Geri made it as far as the Beijing Olympics. Due to injuries, they both had to give up their sport activity, and they could go back to make the childhood dream come true.
TomKings Puppies was born in 2009. Tomi studied animal science at university, and with his partner, Sandra, they regularly attend puppy training academies. But more importantly, everyone in the family puts their whole heart into raising the Frenchies.
How is TomKings different from other breeders
It’s hard to list everything! To start with, we don’t consider ourselves breeders in the original sense, because the puppies live with us in our homes, and get the same love and care as a family member.
This is important because the puppies socialize with other animals and humans and become well-behaved, well-trained dogs. They are also healthier as they get all our attention during feeding and playtime and they are regularly examined by a team of vets.
Where do the dogs come from?
Each parent dog comes from an award-winning bloodline and has to pass a rigorous selection process before Tomi decides to adopt them. Thanks to the good reputation and international connections of TomKings, we often have priority to adopt from the best litters. This is why none of our puppies have ever had genetic problems, they are not allergic and have a much higher chance of living longer and healthier.
We also offer a lifelong health guarantee and lifelong help for the puppy parents, so we stay in touch even after the baby leaves the farm.
How do you make sure that each puppy has enough space?
In the past more than 10 years 300 Frenchies found their forever loving families around the world, starting their life on our farm. Fortunately, there are more and more people who would like to have a TomKings Puppy, but Tomi won’t make any compromise on giving enough space for each furbaby.
Therefore, our Frenchies spend their first weeks at carefully selected homes of our family, who give them unlimited love and care round the clock. Our experience tells us that this is a key factor in them becoming healthy and happy puppies.
