Unfortunately, dog translator apps haven’t been developed yet, so we can solely rely on our observations when it comes to French bulldogs. Thankfully, we have years and years of experience raising Frenchies, and now we have collected you a list of things French bulldogs love to do!
1. Frenchies love to nap
When it comes to being lazy and napping, French bulldogs are champs. They have a small, chunky body, and they don’t require a lot of exercises. In fact, they could just sleep in all day long. So be careful if you work from home: his daytime sleep is contagious, and it can cost you your job, hehe!
2. Frenchies love food
Okay, let’s be honest: who doesn’t love food?! Right?! But Frenchies can even raise the bar on this. One thing they love more than napping is eating. They could do anything just to get a piece of a treat. They look at you with huge, sad eyes like they are dying of hunger. It’s really difficult to resist giving them snacks every time they make that face but you have to stay strong! Overfeeding your baby out of love can cause serious health issues, like overweight or heart problems. 3. Frenchies love to play
Once they finally get up after their long nap, they like to be entertained with some fun games, like fetch. And of course, these games must include you, the owner as well. Solo games are not made for Frenchies. If you want to make your baby a truly happy dog, you must dedicate 10-15 minutes of your time to play with him, 2-3 times a day. But think of it as your own exercise too: you can finally get up from your computer, and you can crawl, climb and run a little bit. These rapid exercises will boost both of your energy levels.
4. Frenchies love being with you
French bulldogs are like stickers! They just love to be around people, especially their owners. So don’t worry, if you need to take your baby with you on the go, he will appreciate it a lot! No matter where you go, he will accompany you gladly. If your workplace allows you, you can take him to work too. In our recent article, we wrote about how Frenchies can adapt to your lifestyle. It all depends on how you raise him: if he gets used to traveling in the car or on the bus from very early, traveling won’t be a problem for him later on.
5. Frenchies love to snuggle
Unlike cats, who come to you only when they like to, Frenchies are love bombs. They love to be in physical contact with their owners as this provides them a sense of security. Frenchies give a huge amount of love back to their owners, no wonder they are so popular! They could cuddle and snuggle with you all day long, therefore, they are perfect when you are stressed out or feel lonely. Frenchies’ love can also help your kids’ anxiety. Their soft hair and warm body in contact with your skin provide calmness.
6. Frenchies love to be in the center of the attention
Frenchies are cute and they know this very well. They are like celebrities: they have to be in the limelight all the time. Once you get a Frenchie, you have to put his life to the front. Wherever you go, people will stop you and pet your babe, and he will enjoy this a lot. Therefore, Frenchies are the ideal breed as mascots. Do you own a small company? Make your Frenchie the face of it, take him to the office or shop every day, and your customers will return to you more often just to play with him (and of course, to spend some money at yours). You’re going to be happy, and most importantly, your Frenchie is going to be happy for getting tons of attention!
