Frenchies are extremely sociable and adaptable dogs who are happy to participate in any event or family gathering. Most parents can’t imagine the most important days of their lives without their furry family members, so they include their Frenchies in their weddings or marriage proposals. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, we decided to share three lovely stories with Frenchies, as well as some adorable photos from our TomKings Frenchie Family Facebook group. Be prepared for your heart to melt!

ToggleProposal with 15 Frenchies
Brooklyn resident Rob Micallef proposed to his girlfriend, Jessica with 15 Frenchies, her favorite breed. Before the big day, Rob contacted the host of a Meetup group “A Frenchie in Brooklyn,” who reached out to the group members for help.
On a cold winter day 15 group members turned up in Fort Greene Park, each with their pup wearing heart-shaped balloons. As Rob and Jess were walking along, the owners flipped over poster boards with the message: “Marry me, Jess.”
She said YES! 🙂
George saves the wedding day
Laura and James Russell wanted their Frenchie George to play a leading role in their wedding. When the best man, Craig was asked to hand over the ring, he pretended he had forgotten it and rushed out of the room.
At this moment the guests were shown a pre-recorded video of George, the Frenchie being called via his mobile, getting appropriately dressed and rushing to the event with the ring.
Finally, Craig entered with George, and Laura and James (hopefully) live happily ever after.
Frenchie couple getting married
Frenchie groom Dexter and his bride Maya tied the knot on a beach at the romantic Chapel Rock in Marizon, Cornwall. The wedding was organized by their parents Clare and Phil, and it all started as a joke:
Ultimate Guide
to Adopting a Frenchie
“Everyone always comments how cute a couple they are and we joked that they should marry – it sort of snowballed from there really,” said Clare.
“They have both been in a monogamous relationship for a couple of years now; they only have eyes for and breed with each other and Dexter also only shares his food with Maya and Maya alone.”

Finally, the family decided to have a bit of fun and organize a little ceremony for them, officiated by a celebrant. He read a few poems and doggy vowels, and then Dexter kissed Maya.
