Sadly Giardia is a common problem in puppies. Most Frenchies and other dog breeds become infected when they swallow Giardia cysts that have been passed in the feces of infected animals. Typically veterinarians treat this infection with an antibiotic in combination with a dewormer. The antibiotic they usually recommend is called Metronidazole and the dewormer is Panacur. So if you notice blood in the stools of your puppy, please keep calm and visit your vet so that they can prescribe the antibiotics for your angel!
